Truth x Lies Get Freaky on the Weekends

Truth x Lies make their debut on Electronic Rapture, the sister imprint of Electronic Nature, with the release of “Freaky On The Weekends”.

The New York duo deliver a late-night-focused club record built around a chunky, rolling bassline, crisp percussion, and a vocal hook loaded with attitude. Tight builds and punchy drops give the track its peak-time edge, locking it firmly into weekend dancefloor territory.

Formed in 2014, Truth x Lies — Ian Berties and Ryan Howard — originally shaped the project around contrasting creative approaches. Over time, that duality has evolved into a more direct and confident sound, driven by instinct and a clear connection to the dancefloor.

Since winning Insomniac’s Discovery Project in 2017 with their debut original “City Lights”, the duo have established themselves on the North American club and festival circuit, appearing at events including EDC Las Vegas, EDC Orlando, and Beyond Wonderland. Their output has earned consecutive placements in 1001 Tracklists’ Top 101 Producers (2023, 2024), a #15 Tech House ranking on Beatport in 2023, and releases on Stereohype, Terminal Underground, Insomniac Records, Dirtybird, and now Electronic Rapture.
